January Art 2019

Students will be learning about perspective in art.

1st grade: Will learn about bird's eye view perspective. They will understand that from that perspective, everything looks flat when in reality it's not. They will work on their cutting skills through creating a bird's eye view of a snowman.

2nd grade: Will review perspective and learn about foreground, middle ground, and background. Foreground - closest to you and usually the darkest with color. Middle ground - in the middle of the paper and medium coloring. Background - furthest away (in the back) and the lightest color.

3rd grade: Students will review perspective and learn about close up perspective and understand that when drawing close up, you don't necessarily the rest of the body. Students will draw a close up of a Camel.

4th grade: Students will review perspective and learn about drawing in perspective. Students will create a car drawing with a tree in the car, showing perspective.

5th grade: Students will review perspective and what they know about it to create a 3D design in Tinkercad. Their design will then be 3D printed with our 3D printer.
