3-Dimensional Designing
Students will understand the difference between 2D design and 3D design through creating different sculptures.
Students will understand the difference between 2D design and 3D design through creating different sculptures.
1st grade: Students will be using paper and wire to create their Calder bird sculpture. Students will work on their coloring technique while creating their birds.
2nd grade: Students will study Georgia O'Keeffe flowers and create big paper flowers. Students will be working on their cutting skills and gluing skills.
3rd grade: Students will be creating doughnuts and learning how to sculpt with plaster. Students will be working on their cutting skills and building skills.
4th grade: Students will be creating ice cream cones. Students will be learning how to work with plaster and build 3 dimensionally.
5th grade: Students will be creating animal masks of choice. Students will learn how to create form through the use of cardboard and plaster.
